The role

As a Heavy Fabricator/Welder you will fabricate and MIG weld to a high standard, working with heavy material up to 20mm gauge. You will interpret detailed drawings and follow set specifications so our products are built to the highest standards. This is a key role in our process, and we are looking for committed, enthusiastic people.

What you will be doing

• Fabricating and MIG welding large, heavy equipment (up to 20mm gauge)
• Welding with 1.2mm wire
• Interpreting detailed drawings and following set specifications
• Plasma cutting, oxy-acetylene cutting and manual press brake operations, where experienced
• Managing your own time to meet production targets, as part of a team and on your own initiative

What we are looking for

• Required: 4 years' experience as a Welder/Fabricator
• Required: 2 years' experience working with commercial vehicles
• Required: experience using 1.2mm wire to weld large and heavy equipment
• Desirable: experience in plasma cutting, oxy-acetylene cutting and manual press brake operations
• Excellent time management and the ability to work well under pressure
• A good team player who also uses their own initiative

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £14.50 - £17.50, depending on experience and trade test
• Overtime available at an enhanced rate
• Permanent, full-time day shift, Monday to Friday
