Trucks ’R’ Us aims high by going Super-low with Roger Dyson
One of the UK’s leading truck and van rental specialists has added another string to its bow, in the shape of a new Roger Dyson vehicle recovery transporter.
Ipswich-based Trucks ’R’ Us is targeting retailers and private owners of ground-hugging sports cars with its first Dyson SLa (Super-Low approach) Hydraloader slideback, which offers a market-leading load angle of just 4.9 degrees.
Mounted on a light but strong 7.5-tonne Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 7C18 which was also supplied by Roger Dyson, the deck is fabricated from aluminium – this chassis-equipment combination produces an impressive 3.0-tonne payload.
Founded in 1927, Trucks ’R’ Us is a highly successful family business that offers commercial vehicles of all sizes and specifications for spot hire and contract rental. It also retails trucks and vans, most of them one-owner ex-fleet vehicles, as well as motorhomes, while sister company ForkRent specialises in plant hire.
Trucks ’R’ Us Managing Director Guy Nicholls says: “We’re always keen to offer our customers the widest possible choice of vehicle, which is why our rental fleet includes truck mixers, tippers, grab and crane lorries.
“This new Dyson adds yet another dimension to our product offering because with its exceptional load angle the Hydraloader SLa represents the very latest in slidebed technology.
“We’re now marketing this unit to dealers and owners who need to move valuable low-profile sports cars without risk of potentially expensive damage.”
Mr Nicholls adds: “We’ve been buying recovery units from Roger Dyson for years. His pricing is always competitive and his bodies are built to the highest standards; I like to see a nice piece of engineering and this latest recovery unit is a lovely thing.”Back to News & Events
