NRC Sliding Rotator
The NRC Sliding Rotator System is the only system manufactured throughout the world recovery market which gives you the unique facility to be able to slide and rotate the crane load at full capacity. Controls are via digital proportional remote control and automatic self leveling which allows you, the operator, to perform recovery operations beyond your expectations. Its low level maximum width stabiliser system allows close manoeuvrability of the load when lifted, allowing the vehicle to be shifted sideways in the carriageway when room is potentially unavailable. With three models available with 40, 50 and 65,000 kgs capacity, you can choose the size of equipment to suit your operational duties in conjunction with your chassis choice of 6x4, 8x4 or 10x4, plus all wheel drive chassis can also be accommodated.
The seven advantages are:
1. Sliding system
- Double your lifting capacity by working with the boom in a more retracted position.
- Increase your reach by 127” (3.2 mtrs) (greater working area.)
- Save time by not having to extend the boom or adjust the wire rope height when it is time to take the load from one side to the rear
- The slide technology gives you more options when performing a heavy recovery challenge always positioning the boom at the best possible angle, which can vary depending on the recovery situation.
2. Low-profile outriggers
- Better manoeuverability by being able to lift the load over the low beam, thus reducing the outreach.
- Get maximum lift capacity when the load is rotating.
- Offers recovery anchors for side.
- Gives you the best stability, lifting and performance.
3. Removable underlift
- Lighter than an independent underlift
- Get closer to the tailboard for extreme recovery operations.
4. Best technology
- Full proportional radio remote control.
- Programmable computer controlled hydraulic system on 50 and 60 models
- Auxiliary winches under the boom to get full control of the load.
5. Usable boom capacity
- Does boom size matter? Yes. However, this is only one of the several factors that will determine the Usable Boom Capacity and therefore the real capacity of your equipment. We talk about Usable Boom Capacity, not boom size which is meaningless when considered alone.
- V boom and best boom elevation range
- Cable to work with the boom retracted to achieve the greatest capacity during a lift.
- Get your boom closer to the load with our sliding system and low-profile outriggers (a shorter radius always helps).
6. Safety
- Work more safely with a higher level of performance.
- The ratings are based on actual live tests. We actually picked up the heaviest load possible overloading the equipment and deducted 25% to achieve a safe load rating.
7. Custom-made design
- Every piece of equipment is custom-made especially for you according to your recommendations and with the numerous options that only we can offer. You will have the equipment that is custom-built for you and adapted to your recovery needs.
The five myths are:
1. Can’t slide with heavy loads …….
………… False
- Moving heavy loads back and forth was the main goal when NRC designed the sliding system. This has been one of the engineering team’s greatest successes and we are always proud to show the customer just how powerful this recovery system really is.
2. Difficult to use removable underlift equipment ….
…….False
- It works exactly like an independent or integrated underlift for towing. However it’s main advantage is that you can remove it and get the load closer to the tailboard for extreme recoveries. In a few seconds, you get the best of both worlds.
3. Can not work with the boom at 0° angle because it will interfere with the underlift
…….False
- The underlift is easily removable!
4. Having the auxiliary winches under the boom is not the best location ……
..….False
- Don’t forget we are the first company to introduce them on the market. Therefore we had the privilege of choosing the best location. You will enjoy not having to adjust the wire rope height when changing the boom angle.
5. Boom can not rotate at full 360°….
……False
- You can now rotate a continuous 360°. Furthermore, we have added a safety device for your protection that warns you when you move the boom too close to your vehicle cab.
